Nitya Verma

Hi, I'm Nitya — a lead researcher, strategist, and professional "wait, but what do users actually need?" person. 🔍

I work at Meta inside trust & safety and integrity — the part of the company most people don't see, working on problems that are genuinely complex: content moderation at scale, AI model training, workforce automation, regulatory compliance. The throughline is always the same: translating messy human reality into something teams can act on.

I've built my career in trust & safety because that gap has real consequences: for the content reviewer on the third shift exposed to graphic harm with no relief in sight, for the small business owner whose ad account got flagged by a model and can't get back online, for the policy that made sense on paper but breaks down at the scale of billions of users.

I believe the most important research you can do is the kind that protects people — from harmful content, from opaque systems, from being an afterthought in someone else's automation roadmap.🛡️

When I'm not asking "but what do users actually need?" — I'm making chocolate confections, practicing yoga, and being a full-time servant to a senior puppy. 🐶
